With more than 35 years in the Australian mining industry, Scott rose through the ranks at SCM Ltd. to become Chief Executive Officer. He started his career as an entry-level labourer in the company's bauxite operations, subsequently earning promotions to shift supervisor and mine superintendent through his strong work ethic and sound operational judgement. His firsthand experience working alongside operational crews provides him with invaluable insight into the business.

In 1998, Scott joined the executive leadership team, and in 2001, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining the mining sector, Scott worked on his family's cattle station in the Northern Territory. This experience fostered a pragmatic, hands-on approach to problem-solving that remains central to his leadership approach today.

William has almost 40 years experience in the financing, development and management of coal mining projects. He formerly worked for a mining company in Sydney, moving up the ranks there, and was hired as the Managing Director of SCM Ltd. in 1994. He has overseen several takeovers and mergers and has sheparded SCM Ltd. into what it is today.
